Background:
Research Questions:
- What factors predict a tenant’s mobility in a given month?
- What are the correlates of mobility to better neighborhoods?
Summary:
The analyses show that the assisted mobility of Housing Choice Voucher/Section 8 households is mostly similar, if not worse, compared to average low-income household mobility. The households who move the most ended up consistently in low opportunity locations, and a number of race, gender and family status characteristics had importance for predicting worse mobility destinations.
